Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Sidout ("the Platform"), operated by Sidout LLC ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Sidout provides a web-based volleyball league and tournament management platform including league administration, live scoring, team registration, scheduling, player communication via SMS and email, and payment processing. The Platform is provided to facility operators ("Facility Operators") who manage leagues, and to players, captains, refs, and spectators ("End Users") who interact with the Platform.

3. Accounts and Access

Facility Operators are provided admin credentials to manage their facility's leagues and tournaments. Facility Operators are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials. End Users access the Platform without creating accounts. By registering as a player, captain, or free agent, End Users provide personal information including name, phone number, and email address.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Platform; (c) interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure; (d) use the Platform to send unsolicited commercial messages (spam); (e) impersonate another person or entity; (f) harvest or collect personal information of other users without consent.

5. SMS and Email Communications

By providing your phone number and consenting to SMS communications during registration, you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from the Platform regarding league updates, schedule changes, score notifications, sub requests, and facility announcements. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Facility Operators are responsible for ensuring SMS communications sent through the Platform comply with applicable laws including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

6. Payments

Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. By making a payment through the Platform, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store credit card information. Registration fees are set by individual Facility Operators. Refund policies are determined by each Facility Operator. Disputes regarding payments should be directed to the Facility Operator managing the league or tournament.

7. Data and Content

Facility Operators retain ownership of their league data including team rosters, schedules, scores, and standings. We do not claim ownership of any data entered into the Platform. We reserve the right to use anonymized, aggregated data for analytics and product improvement purposes.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Platform shall not exceed the amount paid by you to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sidout LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Facility Operators may cancel their subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, access to admin features will cease at the end of the current billing period. Facility data will be retained for 30 days after cancellation, after which it may be permanently deleted.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
